Innogrow is pleased to highlight a significant initiative organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona: the My Start BCN 2025 competition. Now in its eighth edition, the My Start BCN competition aims to promote the international growth of outstanding Italian startups eager to expand their market in Spain.
This year, once again in collaboration with i3P – the Incubator of the Polytechnic University of Turin, the Chamber opens the call to all Italian citizens who are founders of innovative startups (not necessarily registered in the official register of innovative startups).
Of all eligible applications, five finalists will be selected. Italian founders of micro and small startups, established within the last five years (60 months) and offering an innovative product or service with potential in the cultural, creative, or related industries, can apply. The selected startups will present their projects in Barcelona, pitching in English or Spanish before a jury of professionals, mentors, and venture capitalists, which will then select the single winner.
Award
The winner will be awarded six months of free coworking space, administrative and financial support, mentoring, networking opportunities, one year of membership with the Italian Chamber of Commerce – Barcelona, and a stand at the 2026 4YFN event (March 2-5, 2026).
On November 17, during the Faro del Mediterraneo Award Ceremony organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce – Barcelona, the prize will be officially presented to the winner.
How to apply
To apply for My Start BCN 2025, candidates must submit their materials via WeTransfer to comunicacion@camaraitaliana.com no later than October 3, 2025.
The application should include the official form, a business plan with financial data from the past year (where available), a presentation deck, and a video pitch in English or Spanish.
